Well, yesterday was April 23rd, 2016 and you know what that means…
Yes, it was the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare! Oh, it was also Dad’s 96th birthday and that means a party. Once again Rod and Linda were the gracious hosts. It was a much smaller group than attended last year’s party for Dad’s 95th birthday, but the important ones were there, ha ha! Besides Dad, Rod and Linda, there were James and Joanne, Stuart and Angela, Tim and Laurie, Ray and Shelly, and Erin and Lee. So, a baker’s dozen. Or Dad and the Dirty Dozen?
Rod pointed out that 96 years is equivalent to 35,040 days. That’s a lot of coffee and buns! Dad said he didn’t know to what he could attribute his long life but he tearfully stated how grateful he was that he was able to spend so many years with his beloved family.
